Criteria

Qualification |
The academic qualification prescribed for the trade varies from class Xth pass to XIIth pass depending upon the trade
|

|
Age |
The candidates of 14 years onwards of age as on date of start of admission session are eligible for admission. There is no upper age limit fixed taking admissions in the course.

|
|
|
|
|
Attendence
|
A minimum of 75% attendance is compulsory for each programme in Theory/lectures, Practical, Urban/Rural field visits, to qualify for the final examination.
|
|
|
Hostel Facility
|
Hostel facility is provided to students at the rate of Rs 2,000/- per month excluding mess charges. The hostel Charges is to be paid for full year in advance.
|

|
Reservations
|
As per State Govt. rules. It is clarified for the prospective candidates of SC/ST/OBC categories, that reservation benefits in these categories for the admissions shall be admissible as per judgement 04-08-2009 of Hon'ble Supreme Court of India as passed in Civil Appeal No. 5092/09 (arising out of SLP Civil No. 24327 of 2005) - Subhash Chander & Ors. vs Delhi Subordinate Services selection Board and Ors. All prospective candidates taking benefit of reservation in the admissions are advised to check their eligibility regarding admissibility of benefit of SC/ST/OBC reservation as per above judgment of Hon'ble Supreme Court of India.

Academic

|
Exams and Certification |
Exams are conducted directly by NCVT (National Council for Vocational Training, Directorate General of Employment & Training, Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India) at the end of the programme at any venue finalized by them (in the state in which programme is conducted). After the successful completion of the trade, the certificate is also awarded directly by the NCVT.

Batch Schedule |
Regular full time classes are conducted in the institute. The medium of instruction is both English and Hindi.
|

|
Discipline |
The following requirements are enforced:
a) A Regular attendance and punctuality shall be observed;
b) No missing or cutting class shall be permitted.
c) Misconduct will not be tolerated.
Non-observation of proper discipline may lead to student suspension or expulsion from the institute

Library/
Resource
Centre |
Reference books, magazines & journals on the desired subjects are available to the students from Monday to Saturday from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm.

Machine Room |
Sessions at the machine room are designed to gain more practical knowledge for logical development in problem solving. Extra practical time is also available for students to practice individually on the computer for technical advancement
|
|
|
Field Training |
To create the practical approach in students, regular field training is being organized. For example for Health Sanitary Inspector students regular field visits are conducted in cooperation with Directorate of Health/Public Health departments, Municipal Corporation etc of the state. For Library and Information Science students, training at different Govt., Pvt. and Public libraries are being conducted. For dental Laboratory Technician students, training at different hospitals, clinics, laboratory etc are being conducted.

Laboratory |
Students gain a better understanding of difficult curriculum concepts in class and gain access to learning resources and self-assessment tools that reinforce their internalization of these concepts resulting in improved academic performance at the institute.
To enhance the learning ability and skills with hands on material, the institute the has a laboratory system that enables the students to perform practicals related to their concerned syllabus

Demonstrations/ Visits |
Visits of different institution pertaining to the course of all the trades are being organized from time to time to give the students a practical knowledge

Project Work |
Students have to submit the projects in time as assigned by the concerned faculty member to qualify for the final examinations.
